Note: Candidates from states other than Rajasthan will be treated as General Category and must pay Rs. 600/-. If you have already paid the OTR fee in the past, you do not need to pay it again.

Upper Age Relaxation Concessions

  • General Category Female Candidates: 5 Years relaxation

  • Academic Requirements: Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (Class 12th) or its equivalent examination from a recognised board. Students currently appearing or in the final year of their senior secondary education are also eligible to apply.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks Criteria: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in the CET exam to be eligible to participate in the subsequent main recruitment exams conducted by the departments. SC and ST category candidates will get a relaxation of 5%, making their minimum passing threshold 35% marks.

The CET is strictly a qualifying screening gateway. The complete allocation workflow consists of:

  1. Offline Written Examination: Common objective test for all registered applicants.
  2. Normalisation of Marks: If the offline exam is conducted across multiple shifts, a normalisation formula will be used to declare the final score.
  3. Main Departmental Recruitment: Departments will separately release vacancy circulars and conduct main competitive exams or physical tests based on merit scores.

Important Exam Marking Rules

  • Question Format: All questions will be of multiple-choice type (MCQ) and carry equal marks.
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of one-third (1/3) mark for each wrong answer.
  • Mandatory 5-Option OMR Rule: Every question has 5 options (A, B, C, D, E). If you do not wish to answer a question, you must compulsorily darken the 5th option ‘E’. If none of the circles is darkened, 1/3 mark of that question will be deducted. If a candidate leaves more than 10% of total questions completely unshaded (failing to mark option E as well), they will be automatically disqualified.

  • Art & Culture: Architecture and paintings; Folk music, musical instruments, dance, and theatre; Religious sects and folk deities; Social life: dresses, ornaments, fairs, festivals, customs, and traditions; Language, dialects, and literature; Prominent personalities in the fields of art and culture.

2. Geography

  • India: Physical features (mountains, plateaus, deserts, plains); Major rivers, dams, lakes, and oceans; Wildlife and sanctuaries; Disaster management and climate change.
  • Rajasthan: Physical features, climate, natural vegetation, major soils; Rivers, dams, and lakes; Mineral, forest, water, and livestock resources; Wildlife, sanctuaries, and conservation; Population distribution, growth, density, literacy, sex ratio, and major tribes; Tourism.

3. Indian Political System with Special Reference to Rajasthan

  • Nature of the Indian Constitution, Preamble, Fundamental Rights, and Directive Principles of State Policy.

  • Civic Duties: Fundamental duties, moral values, and salient provisions of The Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022.
  • Public Health: Basics of first aid, CPR; Drug abuse types and prevention; Physical and mental fitness of youth; Health risks of social media addiction and its preventive measures.

8. Computer Knowledge

  • Characteristics and applications of computers.
  • Computer organisation, memory (RAM, ROM), file systems, input and output devices.

  • General Hindi: संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, विशेषण, अव्यय, क्रिया; सन्धि, समास-विग्रह, उपसर्ग, प्रत्यय, पर्यायवाची, विलोम शब्द, अनेकार्थक शब्द, शब्द-युग्म, शुद्धि (शब्द/वाक्य), मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियाँ, अंग्रेजी के तकनीकी शब्दों के समानार्थक हिन्दी शब्द, कार्यालयी पत्रों से सम्बन्धित ज्ञान.
  • General English: Tenses, voice (active/passive), narration (direct/indirect), articles, determiners, prepositions, translation of simple sentences, synonyms, antonyms, official/technical terms, one-word substitution, passage comprehension, letter writing knowledge.
  • Valid Aadhaar Card or Jan Aadhaar Card linked to your OTR profile
  • Secondary/Matriculation Certificate for Date of Birth verification
  • Category/Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/MBC-NCL/EWS) if claiming reservation benefits
  • Valid Sports Certificate or Disability Certificate (UDID Card details mandatory for PwBD)
  • Digital signature file and a recent live photograph to be captured through the webcam during OTR verification
  1. Open your internet browser and visit the SSO Portal: http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
  2. Log in with your unique credentials or register to create a new SSO ID.
  3. Navigate to the “Citizen Apps (G2C)” dashboard and click on “Recruitment Portal”.
  4. Go to the One Time Registration (OTR) tab and confirm your category, handicap status, and state domicile.
  5. Complete your OTR fee payment using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI if you are a first-time user.
  6. Click on the live link “Apply Now for Common Eligibility Test (Senior Secondary Level)-2026”.
  7. Fill out the application fields carefully. Note that your name, father’s name, DOB, and gender will be automatically fetched from your OTR profile and cannot be edited.
  8. Compulsorily mention any visible body mark in the required column.
  9. Follow the webcam guidelines to capture a clear live photograph against a white or light background.
  10. Upload your scanned signature image drawn with a black or dark blue ink pen within the specified 20 KB to 50 KB limit.
  11. Preview your entire application page to verify everything and check for any typos.
