RRB Junior Engineer (JE) & DMS Application 2026: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), Ministry of Railways, Government of India has released the detailed Centralised Employment Notice (CEN No. 04/2026) for direct recruitment to various posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and Depot Material Superintendent (DMS).

RRB Junior Engineer (JE) & DMS Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must possess the requisite qualification from a recognized University/Institute on or before the closing date:
- Junior Engineer (JE) – Civil & Allied Engineering: 3-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering OR B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (3 years) OR Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering or its relevant sub-streams.
- Junior Engineer (JE) – Mechanical & Allied Engineering: 3-Year Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Industrial / Machining / Tools & Machining / Tools & Die Making Engineering OR B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines.
- Junior Engineer (JE) – Electrical & Allied Engineering: 3-Year Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR a combination of sub-streams of Electrical Engineering OR B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines.
- Junior Engineer (JE) – Electronics & Allied Engineering: 3-Year Diploma in Electronics / Information Technology / Communication Engineering / Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering OR B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines.

RRB Junior Engineer (JE) & DMS Pay Scale and Salary Structure
- Pay Level: Level 6 in 7th CPC Pay Matrix
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹35,400/- per month
- Allowances: Eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TPTA), and other admissible perks and benefits as per Railway rules.
- Training: Selected candidates will undergo prescribed training and receive a stipend during the training period.

The recruitment process involves four distinct stages:
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I)
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-II)

- Visit the official RRB online application web portal at rrbapply.gov.in or access via rrb.indianrailways.gov.in.
- Click on “Create an Account” and complete identity verification using DigiLocker or your valid identity credentials.
- Log in with your credentials and select CEN No. 04/2026 (JE/DMS).
- Choose only one RRB and set your preference for Railway Zones and post categories.
- Capture your live photograph directly through your webcam/mobile camera in clear contrast against a light background.
- Upload your scanned signature (black ink on white paper, 30 KB to 49 KB in JPG/JPEG format) and SC/ST Certificate (if requesting free rail pass, PDF under 400 KB).
- Pay the applicable examination fee online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.
- Submit your application on or before 13 September 2026 (23:59 Hours) and print a copy of the application form for future reference.
