Punjab PSSSB Craft Instructor Educational Qualification Criteria

Candidates must complete all required academic, technical, and language attributes before the online closing deadline.

Academic Base: Must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system from a recognized school or board.
Mandatory Language Rule: Candidates must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects, or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language specified by the government.
Technical Base (Degree/Diploma Stream): Must hold a Bachelor of Vocational / Degree in the relevant Engineering/Technology branch OR a 3-year Diploma in the corresponding field. Candidates must also possess 1 year of experience (for graduates) or 2 years of experience (for diploma holders) in an organization registered under the Factories Act, 1948, or teaching experience in a government-recognized institution.
Technical Base (NTC/NAC Stream): Must hold a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade along with a National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in the matching trade stream. They must also possess 3 years of relevant experience post-qualification.
Condition for Degree/Diploma Inductees: Appointed Degree/Diploma stream candidates must acquire their “National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC)” at their own cost within three years from the date of appointment, failing which their services will be dispensed with.

Punjab PSSSB Craft Instructor Pay Scale and Salary Structure

Pay Matrix Level: Level-6 under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Initial Base Salary: ₹35,400/- per month.
Departmental Practical Training: Appointed candidates must undergo practical training in the industry and subsequently pass a practical examination. Candidates get a maximum of three chances to clear this exam within three years of appointment, failing which their services will be dispensed with.

Punjab PSSSB Craft Instructor Selection Process Details

Written Exam: Selection will be strictly based on an Objective Type Written Examination consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Negative Marking: Negative evaluation is applicable; 1/4th mark (0.25) will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of equal scores, the older candidate is placed higher in merit. If age is also identical, the percentage obtained in the essential technical qualification is considered. If a tie still persists, higher marks in Matriculation determine final rank seniority.
Counselling and Document Scrutiny: Shortlisted merit candidates will be called for physical document verification. Original educational, technical, category, and domicile records must be produced during the counselling session.
