NHSRCL Technician Eligibility & Educational Qualification Criteria
To apply for any of the Technician positions, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
Mandatory Experience:
- Minimum 02 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field within the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) departments of Indian Railways, Govt-owned/operated Railways, Metro Railways, or RRTS systems.
- Note: Experience gained from teaching, faculty roles, basic apprenticeships, internships, or freelancing will not be counted.
Essential Academic Qualifications (Post-Wise):
- Civil / Track Positions (Vacancy 35/2026 to 42/2026): Matriculation/SSLC with an ITI certificate from a recognized NCVT/SCVT institution in the respective trade (Fitter/Mechanic/Draughtsman/Surveyor/Electrician/Welder/Plumber/Painter) OR Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trade OR a 3-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Technician (Electrical) (Vacancy 43/2026): Matriculation/SSLC with an ITI or Act Apprenticeship in Electrician / equivalent trade OR a 3-Year Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Technician (Signalling & Telecom) (Vacancy 44/2026): Matriculation/SSLC with an ITI or Act Apprenticeship in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Operator trade OR a 3-Year Diploma in Electrical / Electronics & Communications / Electronics / Computer / Information Technology Engineering.
- Rolling Stock Positions (Vacancy 45/2026 to 49/2026): Matriculation/SSLC with an ITI or Act Apprenticeship in the matching domain (Fitter/Machinist/Turner/Welder/Electrician/Electronic Mechanic/MRAC) OR a 3-Year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Computer Science Engineering as applicable.
- Higher Qualification Restriction: Candidates who hold higher engineering degrees (such as B.E./B.Tech) but do not possess the foundational ITI or Diploma qualification are strictly not eligible to apply.
NHSRCL Technician Pay Scale, Service Bonds & Benefits
- Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the IDA Pay Scale of ₹35,000 – 1,10,000/- (NE-2).
- Emoluments: The industrial DA layout includes allowances, perks, HRA, medical benefits, EPF, and gratuity as per corporation rules.
- Probation: Appointed candidates will serve a probation period of one year.
- Surety Bond on Joining: Selected candidates must execute a surety bond of ₹3,00,000/- to serve the corporation for a minimum of 4 years, along with a mandatory 90-day prior notice period before resigning.
- Surety Bond on Special Training: If separate specialized training is provided by the management, an additional surety bond covering the cost of training must be signed to serve for at least 6 years post-training.
- Place of Posting: Anywhere across NHSRCL offices or the entire Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project jurisdiction.
NHSRCL Technician Selection Process Details
The selection framework consists of the following consecutive stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): An online written exam.
- Document Verification: Checking of service records, qualifications, and mandated employer certificates.
- Medical Examination: Comprehensive evaluation as per company standards.
Note: Depending on the total number of applications received, the management reserves the right to introduce a personal interview round or adjust the cut-off filters.
