JKSSB Warder Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility constraints strictly on or before the cut-off date (25 August 2026):
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed at least Matriculation (10th) and a maximum of 10+2 (12th) from a recognized Board of School Education or Institution. Candidates possessing any qualification other than the prescribed range are not eligible.
- Domicile Mandate: Candidates must be regular Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before 25 August 2026.
- Note: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible to apply for this specific cadre recruitment.

JKSSB Warder Selection Process Details
The systematic selection architecture consists of three consecutive qualifying and merit filtering blocks:
- Written Examination: Candidates must first appear for an objective-type written test. Final selection lists are prepared entirely based on merit obtained in this written stage.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Based on written exam merit scores, candidates will be shortlisted for physical measurements in a 1:6 ratio (six times the total vacancies in each category). This stage is purely qualifying in nature.
- Physical Endurance Test (PET): Candidates qualifying the PST screening must clear physical endurance trials, which are also purely qualifying.

Physical Standard Test (PST) Requirements
- For Male Candidates: Minimum Height of 5′-6″ and a Minimum Chest measurement of 32″ to 33.5″.
- For Female Candidates: Minimum Height of 5′-2″ and must be declared physically fit.
Physical Endurance Test (PET) Requirements
- Male Candidates: Long Race of 1600 meters to be completed within 6½ minutes (6 minutes 30 seconds) AND 20 complete push-ups.
- Female Candidates: Long Race of 1000 meters to be completed within 6½ minutes (6 minutes 30 seconds) AND a Shot Put (4 Kgs) throw of 14½ feet within three attempts.
Relaxed PET Standards for Ex-Servicemen (ESM)
Male and female Ex-Servicemen can qualify for the endurance test under the following relaxed standard metrics based on their actual age on 1st January 2026:
- Up to 30 Years: 1600M Race in 6½ Min (Male) / 1000M Race in 6½ Min (Female); 20 Push-ups (Male) / 14½ Feet Shot Put (Female).
- Above 30 to 40 Years: 1600M Race in 7½ Min (Male) / 1000M Race in 7½ Min (Female); 16 Push-ups (Male) / 12½ Feet Shot Put (Female).
- Above 40 Years: 1600M Race in 8½ Min (Male) / 1000M Race in 8½ Min (Female); 12 Push-ups (Male) / 10½ Feet Shot Put (Female).
JKSSB Warder Written Exam Pattern
- Question Structure: Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) set exclusively in the English language.
- Negative Marking: A penalty marking system applies where one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer choice.
