TGPSC Assistant Director Application Fee Details
The fee structure consists of two components (Processing Fee and Examination Fee) payable online:

- SC, ST, and PwD Applicants: Rs. 500/-

TGPSC Assistant Director Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the minimum prescribed academic qualification on or before the notification date (06 July 2026), and their results must have been formally declared by the university:
- Basic Degree: Must possess a minimum qualification of B.Arch, OR B.E./B.Tech (Civil), OR B.Planning / B.Tech (Planning), OR M.A. (Geography), OR M.Sc. (Geography / Geoinformatics).
- Specialized Requirement: Must also possess a Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Town and Country Planning from a recognized university/institution in India, OR hold a Fellowship/Associateship of the Institute of Town Planners of India (ITPI), OR an equivalent recognized membership.
- Distance Education: Degrees obtained through open universities or distance modes are valid only if recognized by UGC, AICTE, or the Distance Education Bureau (DEB).
TGPSC Assistant Director Pay Scale and Salary Structure
- Pay Matrix Range: Rs. 58,850 – 1,37,050/-
- Perquisites: Appointed candidates are entitled to standard state allowances and perquisites in force from time to time.
TGPSC Assistant Director Selection Process Details
- Written Test: Selection relies entirely on the marks secured in the Objective Type Written Examination. There is no interview stage.
- Mode of Exam: The examination can be conducted either in an OMR-based offline mode or as a Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT).
- Normalization Protocol: Normalization will apply to calculate final scores if the CBRT is conducted across multiple sessions.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: OC, Sportspersons, and EWS candidates must secure at least 40% marks; BC candidates require 35%; SC, ST, and PH candidates require a minimum of 30% marks to qualify.
- Compulsory Appearance: Attending both Paper-I and Paper-II is mandatory. Absence in any paper leads to immediate disqualification.
