SINP Various Posts Educational Qualification & Experience Criteria

• Scientist ‘C’: M.Sc in Physics / Applied Physics / Optics / Photonics / Electronics from a recognized University. Post Code A/4/2026 requires a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in ion beam accelerators or X-ray synchrotron beamline development.
• Scientific Assistant ‘B’: 3-year Diploma in Computer Software Technology / Computer Science / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical / Mechanical / HVAC Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic/Institute.
• Technician ‘B’: SSC / HSC pass + ITI Certificate (minimum 1 year duration) in relevant trade + 3 years post-qualification relevant experience.
• Assistant Administrative Officer-I (Deputation): Officers holding analogous posts in DAE/Aided Institutions OR Officers with 3 years regular service in Pay Level 6.
• Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Graduate degree with minimum 50% marks + Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English.
• Security Guard ‘A’: SSC (10th Pass) or equivalent Armed Forces Certificate + Physical fitness standards. Civilians require 2 years of relevant experience.
• Work Assistant ‘A’: SSC (10th Pass) + Minimum 1 year experience in relevant field.
• Halwai-cum-Cook: 10th Class Pass + Certificate/Diploma in Catering + 2 years experience in catering.

SINP Various Posts Pay Scale and Salary Structure

Selected candidates receive salaries as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix:

• Scientist ‘C’: Level 10
• Assistant Administrative Officer-I: Level 7
• Scientific Assistant ‘B’: Level 6
• Technician ‘B’ & Halwai-cum-Cook: Level 3
• Lower Division Clerk: Level 2
• Security Guard ‘A’ & Work Assistant ‘A’: Level 1

Allowances: Admissible DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other perks as per Institute rules.

SINP Various Posts Selection Process Details

Selection methods vary according to the category and post code:

1. Scientist ‘C’: Shortlisting followed by Personal Interview. (Written test may be conducted as a qualifying filter).
2. Scientific Assistant ‘B’ & Technician ‘B’: Phase-I Written Test (Qualifying) + Phase-II Trade Test. Final merit is prepared solely based on Trade Test marks.
3. Assistant Administrative Officer-I: Written exam and perusal of APAR.
4. Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Phase-I Written Test + Phase-II Typing Skill Test (Qualifying). Final merit is prepared on Written Test marks.
5. Security Guard ‘A’: Phase-I Physical Fitness Test (Qualifying) + Phase-II Written Test. Final Merit list shall be prepared as per the marks obtained in the Written Test only.
6. Work Assistant ‘A’: MCQ-based Written Test.
7. Halwai-cum-Cook: Phase-I Written Test (Qualifying) + Phase-II Cooking Skill Test. Final merit list prepared from Skill Test marks only.
