KPSC Gazetted Probationers Application 2026: Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), Bengaluru, has published an official recruitment notification (Notification No. KPSCKA/EXA1/EXMF/9/2026-EXAM-1/1/251710/2026) for filling up Gazetted Probationers vacancies for the academic year 2026-27.

Applications are invited from eligible graduates for direct recruitment to 319 posts across Group ‘A’ (117 posts) and Group ‘B’ (202 posts) services in various Karnataka state departments. Government Order No. DPAR 262 SRR 2025 (dated 29.01.2026) grants a one-time relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit across all categories:

  • SC / ST Candidates: No Limit on the number of attempts. (Note: Appearing in the Preliminary Examination is counted as one attempt).

  • Essential Academic Qualification: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree awarded by any recognized University established by Law in India or an equivalent qualification.
  • Appearing Final Year Candidates: Candidates who have appeared for the final year degree examination are eligible to apply for the Preliminary Exam. However, proof of passing the degree examination must be submitted while applying for the Main Examination.

The recruitment process consists of three successive stages as per Gazette Rules:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type MCQs): Screening test carrying 400 Marks.
  2. Main Examination (Descriptive Written Test): 1,250 Marks for candidates shortlisted in a 1:15 ratio based on Preliminary marks.
  3. Personality Test (Viva-Voce / Interview): Carrying 25 Marks for candidates shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio based on Main Exam marks.

The Preliminary Exam consists of two objective papers of 2 hours duration each:

  • Visit the official KPSC recruitment software portal at https://kpsconline.karnataka.gov.in.
  • Click on “New Registration” to complete One Time Registration (OTR).
  • Log in using your Enrollment Number / Mobile Number / Email ID and OTP.
  • Complete your applicant profile, upload a recent passport-size photograph (up to 200 KB) and signature (up to 70 KB) in JPEG/JPG format.
  • Navigate to active notifications and click “Apply to Post” for Gazetted Probationers 2026-27.
  • Upload required documents/certificates (10th/SSLC marksheet for Date of Birth, Graduation Degree certificates, Caste & Income certificates, Domicile certificates).
  • Pay the prescribed fee online via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
  • Verify that the acknowledgement preview contains a valid QR Code showing “Application Submitted” and “Payment Done”.
  • Print out and retain a copy of the completed application form for future reference.
