  • Cumulative Age Relaxation: Capped at a maximum limit of 15 Years.

Qualifications and experience must be fulfilled as of 01 July 2026:

  • Process Technician / Operator (Chemical) [Post Codes A & B]:
    • Qualification: AICTE-approved 3-year full-time regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology with minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
    • Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant post-qualification work experience OR 1 Year post-qualification apprenticeship training under Apprenticeship Act 1961 in a reputed Refining / Lube / Petroleum / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Power Industry.
  • Technician / Operator (Mechanical) [Post Code C]:
    • Qualification: AICTE-approved 3-year full-time regular Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
    • Experience: Minimum 1 Year relevant post-qualification work experience OR 1 Year post-qualification apprenticeship training in a reputed Refining / Lube / Petroleum / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Power / Engineering Industry.
  • Technician (Electrical) [Post Code D]:
    • Qualification: AICTE-approved 3-year full-time regular Diploma in Electrical Engg. / Electrical & Electronics Engg. / Electrical Power System / Electrical Engg. (Industrial Control) with minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
    • Experience: Minimum 1 Year relevant post-qualification work experience OR 1 Year post-qualification apprenticeship training in a reputed Refining / Lube / Petroleum / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Power / Engineering Industry.
  • Excluded Disciplines: Diplomas in allied branches like Petrochemical, Plastic & Polymer, Mechanical (Production/Automobile), Electronics, etc., are NOT ELIGIBLE.
  • Higher Qualifications Restriction: Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as B.E., B.Tech., or A.M.I.E. (acquired before or after Diploma) are STRICTLY NOT ELIGIBLE.
  • Mode of Study: Distance learning, part-time, or correspondence diplomas are not acceptable. Lateral entry diplomas (after 12th Science or ITI) are eligible if aggregate marks of 4 semesters meet percentage criteria.
  • Grade & Entry Pay: Selected candidates will be placed in the NG-2 Grade at a starting minimum basic pay of ₹26,500/- per month in the pay scale of ₹26,500 – ₹34,000/-.
  • Allowances & Perks: In addition to Basic Pay, Industrial Pattern Dearness Allowance (IDA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) / Accommodation, Medical Facilities, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, and other benefits will be paid as per Corporation rules.
  • Pay Protection: Selected candidates joining through proper channel from other PSUs/Govt bodies are eligible for basic pay protection up to a maximum ₹34,000/-.

Selection comprises a three-stage evaluation process:

  1. Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT): Objective online exam carrying 100 Marks for a total duration of 120 Minutes.
  2. Stage 2: Skill / Proficiency Test (SPT): Candidates qualifying CBT cut-off marks will be called for SPT at respective refinery locations. SPT is qualifying in nature.
  3. Stage 3: Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Medical fitness evaluation as per BPCL standards.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in English medium only.
