Applicants must satisfy the following academic and language parameters:

  • Asst. Agriculture Officer / Equivalent: Must possess a B.Sc. (Agriculture / Horticulture) degree from a recognized University or its equivalent qualification.
  • Field Assistant / Equivalent: Must have passed PU Science or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • LDC / Office Assistant-cum-Computer Operator: A graduation degree from a recognized university. Candidates must have completed a Course on Computer Concepts (CCC / DOS + Windows + MS Office + Multimedia + Internet) from a Central or State-recognized institute.

The competitive evaluation structure differs based on the Group classification of the posts:

1. Assistant Agriculture Officer / Equivalent (Group B)

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) combined test.
  • Total Marks: 100 Marks (General Knowledge: 25 Marks, General English: 25 Marks, General Agriculture/Horticulture: 50 Marks).
  • Interview: Followed by a Viva-Voce round.

2. Field Assistant & All Group D Posts (Group C & D)

  • Exam Type: Combined written test only.
  • Total Marks: 100 Marks (100 Questions).
  • Group C Breakdown (Graduate level): General Intelligence and Reasoning (25), General Knowledge (25), Quantitative Aptitude (25), and English Language (25).
  • Group D Breakdown (Matriculate level): General Knowledge (50), Basic Mathematics (25), and English Language (25).

3. LDC / Office Assistant-cum-Computer Operator

  • Paper A: General English, Precis Writing, Drafting, and Essay (100 Marks / 3 Hours duration / 30% qualifying marks).
  • Paper B: General Knowledge (50 Marks / 1.5 Hours duration / 30% qualifying marks).
  • Paper C: Computer Practical (50 Marks / 1.5 Hours duration / 30% qualifying marks).
  • Employment Exchange Mandate: Willing candidates must ensure their names are officially sponsored by their concerned local Employment Exchange.
  • Domicile Rule: The applicant must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the State of Manipur.
  • Age Limit Range: The age criteria is set between 18 and 38 years as on the date of notification. The minimum age limit is 21 years for the Assistant Agriculture Officer post.
  • Age Concessions: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to the continuous service period for Government servants. There is a one-time general age relaxation of 2 years for applicants crossing the upper boundaries.
  • Post Application Multiplicity: Candidates can apply for more than one post by obtaining separate forms on separate fee payments. However, they can apply for only one post within a single group (i.e., one post in Group B, one in Group C, or one in Group D).
