- Reserved Category Candidates (All Female, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PWD & Ex-Servicemen): ₹400/-

GSSSB X-Ray Assistant Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must fulfill all specified qualifications on or before the application deadline.
- Academic Qualification: Must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th Standard / HSC) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and English subjects conducted by the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
- Technical Qualification: Must possess the requisite qualification/training certificate of X-Ray Assistant as prescribed by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat.
- Computer Literacy: Must possess basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification (General) Rules, 1967. (Candidates without a basic computer certificate at the time of application can also apply, but must produce a valid certificate before appointment).
- Language Requirement: Must possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati and/or Hindi.
Post-Qualification Experience:
- Experience Required: No prior post-qualification work experience is required for this direct recruitment drive. Freshers meeting the essential academic and technical qualifications are eligible.
GSSSB X-Ray Assistant Pay Scale and Salary Structure
- First 5 Years Fixed Pay: Appointed candidates will receive a fixed consolidated salary of ₹26,000/- per month for the initial 5 years of service.
- Regular Pay Matrix Post 5 Years: Upon successful and satisfactory completion of the 5-year probation period, candidates will be placed in regular service under Pay Matrix Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200/-) as per 7th Pay Commission rules.
GSSSB X-Ray Assistant Selection Process Details
Selection will be conducted through a single-stage objective-type competitive written examination followed by document verification:
- Computer-Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR Written Exam: Single question paper divided into Part-A and Part-B.
- Document Verification: Candidates scoring equal to or above the qualifying standard (minimum 40% in each part) will be shortlisted for document verification in a 1:2 ratio based on merit.

The competitive examination features 210 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying a total of 210 Marks with a total duration of 3 Hours (180 Minutes).

- Click on “Online Application” → “Apply” and select GSSSB from the department drop-down list.
- Locate Advertisement No. 433/202627 (X-Ray Assistant, Class-3) and click on “Apply Now”.
- Fill in all your personal metrics, address info, reservation category claims, and 12th Science / X-Ray Assistant technical qualification details.
- Save the application details to generate a unique Application Number.
- Upload your recent passport-size color photograph (White background, size under 15 KB in JPG format) and signature file (size under 15 KB in JPG format).
- Click on “Confirm Application”, verify all entries carefully, and confirm the form to generate your Confirmation Number. (Once confirmed, no details can be edited).
- Proceed to the “Pay Fee” section, enter your Confirmation Number and DOB, and pay the non-refundable fee (₹500 for General or ₹400 for Reserved Categories) online before the payment deadline (06 August 2026).
- Print out the submitted application form along with the generated online payment receipt for downstream verification stages.
