UPSSSC PET Notification 2026: Apply Online for Preliminary Eligibility Test

UPSSSC PET Application 2026: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow, has released the official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 16-Exam/2026) for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026.

PET 2026 is the mandatory tier-1 preliminary examination for shortlisting candidates for various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts across different government departments in Uttar Pradesh. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application forms online through the official UPSSSC portal.

UPSSSC PET 2026 is an offline objective-type written examination consisting of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 100 Marks.

  • 3 Years Validity: As per revised government orders, PET 2026 normalized scores will remain valid for 3 years from the date of result declaration on the UPSSSC portal.
  • Shortlisting for Main Exams: Valid PET scores are mandatory for shortlisting candidates for subsequent Group ‘C’ Main Recruitment Examinations (such as Lekhpal, VDO, Junior Assistant, Stenographer, etc.) advertised by UPSSSC.
  1. Visit the official UPSSSC portal at upsssc.gov.in.
  2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if you haven’t registered previously.
  3. Log in using your OTR number or registered mobile number via OTP.
  4. Access Advt No. 16-Exam/2026 (Preliminary Eligibility Test PET-2026) under the Live Advertisements section.
  5. Fill in additional details (10+2 status, marital status, EWS/Ex-Servicemen/Sports quota, etc.) and complete the declaration.
  6. Pay the prescribed application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
  7. Double-verify transaction status if payment is pending, submit the application form on or before 01 September 2026, and download/print out a copy for future reference.
