  • Basic Academic Qualification: Must have passed 12th Standard Class examination or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University.

The evaluation process checks your academic, practical typing skills, and administrative record strengths:

  1. Paper-I Written Examination (100 Marks): Descriptive type test consisting of a Short Essay (400-500 words) to be finished in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  2. Paper-II Computer-Based Examination (100 Marks): Objective Type Multiple Choice test consisting of two parts: (a) Language (English or Hindi – 50 Marks) and (b) General Knowledge (50 Marks) with a total duration of 2 hours.
  3. Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response in Paper-II.
  4. Typing Test: Candidates must qualify a typewriter/computer typing test with a minimum speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on computers. For post-wise, see the official notification.
  5. Part-II Evaluation of Record of Service (60 Marks): Marks allocated based on the verification and evaluation of the Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs).

Departmental employees must process their entries carefully using these system guidelines:

  1. Log on to the new official website of the commission: https://ssc.gov.in
  2. Complete your One-Time Registration (OTR) if you have not yet created a new profile (the old OTR from ssc.nic.in will not work).
  3. Fill up your live details, select your respective department, and capture your Live Photograph using a webcam or phone camera in clear lighting with a plain background.
  4. Upload your signature image in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB).
  5. Preview your application, check the fields carefully, and submit your online form before 26.06.2026.
  6. Take a neat printout of your submitted copy, attach attested service book papers, and forward it through your Head of Department to the Regional Director (Northern Region), SSC, New Delhi, so that it reaches physically by 03.07.2026.
