  • Peon:
    • Must have passed the SSLC (10th Standard) examination or an equivalent qualification.
    • Must be able to read and write the Kannada language.
  • Process Server:
    • Must have passed the SSLC (10th Standard) examination or an equivalent qualification.
    • Candidates possessing a valid vehicle driving license will be given preference.
  • Stenographer Grade-III:
    • Must have passed Second PUC (12th Class) or possess a 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice or an equivalent qualification.
    • Must have passed both Senior Grade Typewriting and Senior Grade Shorthand examinations in both Kannada and English languages conducted by the Department of Public Instruction (or equivalent).
  • Typist:
    • Must have passed Second PUC (12th Class) or possess a 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice or an equivalent qualification.

  • Direct Recruitment: Selection across all profiles is strictly based on merit and performance parameters as per the Karnataka Subordinate Courts Rules.
  • Peon: Shortlisting for the oral interview stage will be drawn in a 1:10 ratio based on the total percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying 10th standard exam.
  • Process Server: Shortlisting for the interview stage will be drawn in a 1:25 ratio based on the total percentage of marks secured in the qualifying standard exam.
  • Stenographer Grade-III, Typist & Typist-Copyist: Shortlisting requires clearing a dedicated practical skill/typing test first. Candidates will be called for the interview stage in a 1:5 ratio based on the combined performance grid.
  • Interview Component: The interview stage for all positions carries 10 Marks (except for Stenographer Grade-III, which carries 5 Marks).
  • Probationary Period: Selected candidates will remain on probation for an initial duration of 2 years.
  • Stenographer Grade-III Skill Assessment Test:
    • Profile Details: Shorthand dictation trial of 5 minutes at a regulated speed of 120 words per minute.
    • Transcription Assessment: Total 45 minutes is allotted to transcribe the dictation entries accurately on a computer system.
    • Maximum & Qualifying Marks: Capped at 100 Marks, requiring a minimum score of 50 Marks to pass.
  • Typist Skill Assessment Test:
    • Profile Details: A continuous typing text dictation trial of 15 minutes to be typed out directly on a computer.
    • Maximum & Qualifying Marks: Capped at 100 Marks, requiring a minimum score of 50 Marks to pass.
  • Typist-Copyist Skill Assessment Test:
    • Profile Details: A continuous typing text copy accuracy trial of 15 minutes to be performed on a computer.
    • Maximum & Qualifying Marks: Capped at 100 Marks, requiring a minimum score of 50 Marks to pass.

  6. Upload a distinct digital copy of your signature drawn using a black ballpoint pen on pure white paper (Sized 2.5 cm length x 7.5 cm width, under 25 KB, in .jpg format).
  7. Remit the mandatory application fee via the integrated State Bank Collect page link using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI facilities.
