Note on Local Districts: The local area reservation parameters apply to the 9 districts falling under the official jurisdiction of APSPDCL, which include: SPSR Nellore, Tirupati, Chittoor, Annamayya, YSR Kadapa, Nandyal, Kurnool, Ananthapuramu, and Sri Sathya Sai. Candidates belonging to other states will be considered strictly under the unreserved General category.

Candidates must be fully qualified and possess the relevant final degree passing certificates on or before the last date of application submission.

  • Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical): Must possess a regular graduation degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a university recognized by UGC and AICTE.
  • Assistant Executive Engineer/Telecom: Must possess a regular graduation degree in Telecommunications OR Electronics OR Electronics and Communication Engineering from a university recognized by UGC and AICTE.
  • Assistant Executive Engineer/Civil: Must possess a regular graduation degree in Civil Engineering from a university recognized by UGC and AICTE.

Important Qualification Rules: Degrees obtained via distance education mode from other state universities outside Andhra Pradesh are not legally valid for this process. If claiming an equivalent engineering stream, candidates must produce an official Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority or registrar during verification.

Every selected candidate must undergo induction training before final field deployment.

  • Probation Period Pay: Appointed engineers will be on probation for a period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. During this probation window, they will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 75,000/-.
  • Regular Scale Placement: Upon successful completion of the probation period, they will be placed into the regular time scale of pay of Rs. 86245-2900-100745-3350-117495-3725-136120-4155-156895-4550-179645-4850-203895-5020-208915.

The selection for all notified posts will be strictly processed through a single-stage screening exam followed by certificate verification:

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Normalization of marks across multiple examination shifts
  • Document and Certificate Verification (conducted in a 1:1 ratio based on merit)

The examination duration is fixed at 3 hours and will be conducted in the English language only. There will be no negative marking in the Computer-Based Test.

Minimum Qualifying Marks Criteria

Candidates must secure the following minimum cut-off marks percentage to be considered for certificate shortlisting:

  • English Language and Comprehension: Grammar, spot the error, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, cloze passage, and comprehension paragraphs.
  • Computer Knowledge: Computer basics, CPU, memory systems, input/output devices, Windows Explorer, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet browsing, emails, and cyber security threats.

2. Post-Specific Core Syllabus (70 Marks)

  • AEE Electrical: Electric Circuits (KCL, KVL, network theorems, 3-phase circuits), Electrical Machines (transformers, DC machines, 3-phase induction motors, synchronous machines), Power Systems (generation, transmission line models, load flow, solid-state relays, circuit breakers, system stability), Utilization & Control Systems, Measurements (bridges, PMMC), Analog/Digital Electronics, and Power Electronics & Drives.
  • AEE Telecom: Network Analysis, Fourier Series (Laplace and z-transforms), Electronic Devices & Circuits (transistors, feedback amplifiers, oscillators), Digital Circuits (logic gates, sequential circuits, A/D converters), Linear Control Systems, Transmission Lines & Antennas (Maxwell’s equations, radiation parameters), Waveguides, Microprocessors, and Communication Systems (analog/digital modulation, fiber optics, satellite).

Service Mandatory Conditions & Liquidated Bonds for APSPDCL Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE)

  • Field Service Mandate: Appointed candidates must compulsorily serve in raw field offices (like Operation Sections, MRT, DPE, or Construction Divisions) located preferably in rural and remote destinations for a minimum continuous period of 5 years from joining. No request for office or headquarters transfer will be entertained during this tenure.
  • Service Bond Period: Appointed candidates must execute a legal Service Bond on a Non-Judicial Stamp Paper worth Rs. 110/- to serve the organization for a minimum of 5 years after completion of the 2-year probation period (Total 7 Years lock-in).
  • Original Document Custody: Appointed candidates must deposit their original academic and community certificates with the DISCOM during the 7-year bond period. To retrieve certificates temporarily for a genuine purpose, a security deposit of Rs. 1,00,000/- must be furnished.
  • Breach Damages Fees:
    • Leaving the service during the 2-year probation period requires a refund of all emoluments received, plus a liquidated damages fee of Rs. 5,00,000/-.
    • Resigning from service during the 5-year post-probation bond window requires payment of a liquidated damage fee of Rs. 10,00,000/- directly to APSPDCL.
