UPSSSC Forensic Science Laboratory Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications by the application closing date (17 August 2026) and must have appeared in UP PET 2025.
- Biology Domain: B.Sc Degree in Biology / Forensic Science (with specialization in Biology) / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Genetics / Cell Biology / Microbiology from a recognized University/Institute.
- Physics Domain: B.Sc Degree in Physics / Forensic Science (with specialization in Physics) / Nuclear Science / Instrumentation / Electronics OR B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
- Chemistry Domain: B.Sc Degree in Chemistry / Forensic Science (with specialization in Chemistry) / Biochemistry from a recognized University/Institute.
- Computer Science Domain: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from a recognized University OR ‘A’ Level Diploma from NIELIT.
UPSSSC Forensic Science Laboratory Pay Scale and Salary Structure
Selected candidates will be appointed on regular U.P. State Government pay levels as specified below:

UPSSSC Forensic Science Laboratory Selection Process Details
Selection for these technical posts will be based on a two-tier merit evaluation process:
- Shortlisting via UP PET 2025 Score: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Written Examination based on their Normalized Scores in PET-2025 (equal to 15 times the number of advertised vacancies category-wise).
- Main Written Examination: Objective OMR-based test carrying 100 Marks.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates from the Main Written Exam will be called for document verification.
UPSSSC Forensic Science Laboratory Exam Pattern
The Main Written Examination will consist of a single objective paper carrying 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for a total duration of 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
