KEA KREIS Residential School Teacher Selection Process Details

- Minimum Qualifying Written Cut-Off: Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 35% marks in the competitive written examination to remain eligible for the list selection.
- Negative Valuation Penalty: The question papers use a penalty mechanism where every incorrect multiple-choice response will lead to a deduction of one-fourth (0.25) marks.
- Unanswered Questions OMR Rule: To ensure testing transparency, OMR sheets feature a 5th option circle for unattempted questions. Five extra minutes are given after the final bell to shade this 5th option for blank entries. If an item is left completely blank without shading any circle, 0.25 marks will be deducted as a penalty.
- Tie-Breaking Guidelines: In case total marks match, a candidate with higher educational qualifications ranks senior. If credentials are identical, seniority in age takes precedence. If a tie persists, the candidate who processed their online application form earlier is ranked higher.
