  • Degree Requirement: Must be a fresh graduate in Law (LL.B. 3 years or 5 years integrated course) with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade point system) from any recognized University or institution in India.
  • Final Year Students: Candidates studying in the final year of their law courses are eligible to apply provisionally. Their selection is subject to passing the final examination with at least 55% marks before their actual date of appointment.
  • Language Skills: Must be acquainted with the vernacular language, which is Gujarati.
  • Computer Literacy: Must possess basic operational and application knowledge of computers.
  • Monthly Remuneration: Selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration of Rs. 60,000/- per month.
  • Initial Tenure: The initial contractual period will be for 11 months.
  • Extension Clause: Based on the recommendations of the concerned Hon’ble Judge and subject to the approval of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, it can be extended up to a maximum total period of another 11 months only.
  • Notice Period: The contractual engagement can be terminated by either party by giving a one-month notice or one month’s salary instead of notice.
  • The selection process consists of a two-stage examination system to filter candidates based on merit parameters:
    1. Stage 1: Written Test (OMR-based Objective Multiple Choice Questions) worth 100 marks.
    2. Stage 2: Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview) worth 50 marks.
  • Qualifying Cut-off: Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in the written test to qualify for the oral interview. Similarly, obtaining at least 50% marks in the Viva-voce test is compulsory to secure a place in the final select list.
  • Final Merit Compilation: The final select list will be compiled based on the total aggregate marks secured by candidates combining both the written examination and the viva-voce phase.
  • Total Marks: 100 Marks
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Question Type: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (Each question carries 1 mark).
  • Negative Marking: A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect or multiple-marked answer.
  • Medium of Exam: English language only.

  7. The Specific Relief Act, 1963
  8. The Transfer of Property Act, 1882

  10. General Knowledge
