Bengaluru City Civil Court Application 2026: Office of the City Civil Court, Bengaluru has issued two official recruitment notifications (ADM-I(A)/428/2026 and ADM-I(A)/429/2026) for direct recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade-III, Typist, Driver, Process Server, and Peon. These vacancies are available under both the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) and the Kalyana Karnataka Region (371-J Local Cadre). Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications online before the closing date.

    • Government/Local Authority Employees: Relaxed by the number of years of service rendered or 10 years, whichever is less.
    • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxed by 3 Years plus the total number of years of active military service.
    • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) & Widows: Relaxed by 10 Years.
    • Note: An additional 1-time relaxation of 5 years is extended as per Government Order dated 29.01.2026.

  • Stenographer Grade-III:
    • Must have passed the Pre-University Course (PUC) Examination or possess a 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent qualification.
    • Must have passed Senior Typewriting and Senior Shorthand Examinations, both in Kannada and English languages, conducted by the Department of Public Instruction (or equivalent).
  • Typist:
    • Must have passed the Pre-University Course (PUC) Examination or possess a 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent qualification.
    • Must have passed Senior Typewriting examinations both in Kannada and English languages conducted by the Department of Public Instruction (or equivalent).
  • Driver:
    • Must have passed the SSLC (10th Standard) examination or possess an equivalent qualification.
    • Must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence.
  • Process Server:
    • Must have passed the SSLC (10th Standard) examination or possess an equivalent qualification.
    • Note: Preference will be given to candidates possessing a valid Driving Licence.
  • Peon:
    • Must have passed the Tenth Standard (10th) or possess an equivalent qualification.
    • Must be able to read and write the Kannada language.

  • Stenographer Grade-III: Based on the aggregate percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination, performance in the qualifying test, and marks obtained in the interview. Shortlisted candidates for the interview will be equal to 5 times the total number of vacancies.
  • Typist: Based on the aggregate percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination, performance in the typing test, and marks obtained in the interview. Shortlisted candidates for the interview will be equal to 5 times the total number of vacancies.
  • Driver: Based on the marks secured in the eligibility test, followed by an interview. Candidates shortlisted for the interview will be 25 times the total number of vacancies based on the eligibility test score.
  • Process Server: Based on the percentage of total marks secured in the qualifying examination, followed by an interview. Candidates shortlisted for the interview will be 25 times the total number of vacancies.
  • Peon: Based on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination, followed by an interview. Candidates shortlisted for the interview will be 10 times the total number of vacancies.
  • Note: The maximum marks allotted for the Interview across all posts is 10 Marks. If two or more candidates secure equal aggregate marks, the older candidate in age will be placed higher in merit.
  • Stenographer Grade-III Qualifying Test:
    • Maximum Marks: 100 Marks
    • Test Profile: Dictation at the rate of 120 words per minute for a duration of about 5 minutes.
    • Transcription Duration: 45 minutes to transcribe the notes.
    • Minimum Passing Marks: 50 Marks.
  • Typist Qualifying Test:
    • Maximum Marks: 100 Marks
    • Test Profile: Dictation for a duration of about 15 minutes, and the candidate must type the dictated matter.
    • Minimum Passing Marks: 50 Marks.
  • Driver Eligibility Test:
    • Maximum Marks: 50 Marks
    • Note: Marks obtained in this eligibility test determine shortlisting for the final 10-mark interview stage.

  2. Click on the designated link for submitting online applications for the relevant post under RPC or Kalyana Karnataka Region.
  3. Carefully read all the listed application criteria in the instruction sheet before registering.
  4. Enter your correct, active Email ID and Mobile Number compulsorily to receive institutional alerts via SMS or Email.
  5. Fill out all required fields in the application form accurately.
  6. Upload the scanned copies of required documents/certificates (e.g., SSLC/PUC marks cards, caste/reservation certificates, and identity proofs).
  7. Remit the prescribed application fee through the SBI Collect portal using online payment instruments and upload the payment receipt.
  8. Verify all entries and submit the online application form. Take a printout of the final application copy for reference.
