HP High Court District Judiciary Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the prescribed qualifications on or before 10 September 2026:
- Court Manager (Group-B):
- Graduation degree in any stream with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from a UGC-recognized University/Institution.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Process Management, IT Systems Management, HR Management, or Financial Management.
- Desirable: Knowledge of legal affairs and computer applications.
- Clerk (Group-C):
- Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Linux, word processing, printing).
- Typing speed of 30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Hindi on computer (using Kruti Dev-10 font).
- Stenographer Grade-III (Group-C):
- Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
- English Stenography speed of 80 wpm and accurate transcription within 5 times the dictation time.
- Typing speed of 40 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Hindi on computer (Kruti Dev-10 font).
- Errors allowed in transcription/typing must not exceed 10%.
- Driver (Group-C):
- Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized Board.
- Valid Driving License for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) for at least 3 years and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- Preference for candidates with good mechanical knowledge of automobiles.
- Process Server (Group-D):
- Passed 10+2 (Class 12th) examination from a recognized Board.
- Peon / Orderly / Chowkidar / Safai Karamchari (Group-D):
- Passed 10+2 (Class 12th) examination from a recognized Board.
- Himachal Schooling Requirement: For Group-C posts, candidates must have passed Matric/10+2/Graduation, and for Group-D posts, Middle/Matric/10+2 from an institution situated in HP (Condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis).
HP High Court District Judiciary Pay Scale and Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive monthly remuneration and pay scales in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix based on the post and appointment mode:
- Court Manager (Group-B): Pay Level-16 (₹48,700 – ₹1,54,300/- per month)
- Stenographer Grade-III (Group-C Regular): Pay Level-06 (₹25,600 – ₹81,200/- per month)
- Driver (Group-C Regular): Pay Level-05 (₹21,300 – ₹67,800/- per month)
- Clerk (Group-C Regular): Pay Level-03 (₹20,200 – ₹64,000/- per month)
- Process Server (Group-D Regular): Pay Level-01 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900/- per month)
- Peon / Orderly / Chowkidar / Safai Karamchari (Group-D Regular): Pay Level-01 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900/- per month)
- Contractual & Daily Wage Posts: Monthly wages and daily remuneration as fixed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh from time to time.
HP High Court District Judiciary Selection Process Details
Selection will be conducted in accordance with the R&P Rules, 2022:
- Court Manager: Written Examination (Phase-I) and Viva-Voce Interview (Phase-II).
- Clerk: Screening Test (MCQ) → Written Examination → Computer Typing Test (30 wpm English / 25 wpm Hindi) → Document Verification.
- Stenographer Grade-III: Screening Test → English Stenography Test (80 wpm) & Typing Test (40 wpm English / 30 wpm Hindi) → Document Verification.
- Driver: Screening Test → Driving Proficiency Test → Document Verification.
- Process Server: Screening Test → Written Test → Evaluation & Document Verification.
- Peon / Orderly / Chowkidar: Merit-based shortlisting in a 1:3 ratio based on 10+2 marks (calculated out of 85 marks) + 15 marks for document evaluation as per rules.
