Chhattisgarh Vyapam Teacher Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the essential educational qualifications and mandatory subject combinations on or before the online application deadline:
Essential Academic & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories/NCTE norms).
- B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) OR B.El.Ed (4-Year Integrated) OR 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from a recognized institute.
- Teacher Eligibility Test (TET): Passed Upper Primary Level (Paper-II) CG TET / CTET. (Note: For Teacher Agriculture, passing TET is not mandatory, but B.Ed is required).
Subject-Wise Degree Requirements
- Hindi Teacher: Hindi Literature as a subject at the Graduation level.
- Sanskrit Teacher: Sanskrit Literature as a subject at Graduation level OR B.A. (Classics).
- English Teacher: English Literature as a subject at the Graduation level.
- Mathematics Teacher: Graduation in Mathematics with any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics, Military Science, or Geology.
- Social Science Teacher: Graduation with at least one compulsory subject among History, Geography, Economics, Commerce, or Political Science.
- Agriculture Teacher: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture.
Chhattisgarh Vyapam Teacher Pay Scale and Salary Structure
Selected candidates appointed to the post of Teacher will receive salary under the 7th Pay Matrix of the Chhattisgarh State Government:
- Pay Matrix Level: Pay Matrix Level-08
- Pay Band Range: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/- per month
- Probation Period: 3 years probation period with applicable stipend rules.
- Allowances: Standard Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other state allowances as per government orders.
Chhattisgarh Vyapam Teacher Selection Process & Exam Scheme
The selection of candidates for Teacher posts will be conducted through the following stages:

- Total Questions: 100 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 100 Marks (1 mark for each correct answer)
- Duration: 2 Hours (10:00 AM to 12:15 PM)
