JKSSB Non-Gazetted Vacancies Major Posts & Educational Qualification Criteria

Candidates must be domiciles of the UT of J&K holding a valid domicile certificate issued on or before 09 October 2026:

• Junior Pharmacist: Minimum 10+2 with Science having Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy Course from a recognized Institute.
• Junior Staff Nurse: Matric or above with Science and Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized Institute.
• Junior Lab Technician: Matric or above qualification with minimum 2-year Diploma in Lab Technician OR Degree in Lab Technology course.
• Junior Theatre Technician / Junior Ophthalmic Technician: Matric or above qualification with Degree/Diploma in Operation Theatre / Ophthalmic Technology Course.
• FMPHW (Female Multipurpose Health Worker): Matric or above qualification with Science & Diploma in FMPHW from a recognized Institute.
• MMPHW (Male Multipurpose Health Worker): Matric or above qualification with minimum 1-year or above Diploma in MMPHW.
• Horticulture Technician Grade-IV: 10+2 with 1-year Basic Horticulture Training course passed.
• Junior Laboratory Assistant (Higher Education): Graduation Degree in Science (B.Sc). Preference given to candidates holding a Post Graduate Diploma in professional Lab Course in Chemistry / Science.
• Health Educator (Health Dept): Graduation Degree in Science from any recognized University.
• Sanitary Inspector: 10+2 or above qualification with minimum 2-year Diploma in Sanitation and Public Health.

JKSSB Non-Gazetted Vacancies Pay Scale and Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive monthly remuneration based on the 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level as detailed below:

• Health Educator: Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/- per month)
• Sanitary Inspector: Level-6D (₹35,800 – ₹1,13,200/- per month)
• Junior Pharmacist / Junior Staff Nurse / Junior Lab Technician / Theatre Technician: Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100/- per month)
• FMPHW / MMPHW / Junior Laboratory Assistant / Supervisor / Senior Canning Attendant: Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200/- per month)
• Horticulture Technician Grade-IV: SL-2 (₹15,900 – ₹50,400/- per month)

JKSSB Non-Gazetted Vacancies Selection Process Details

• Written Objective Examination: Selection for all advertised posts will be made purely based on merit obtained in the Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) OMR/CBT Examination.
• Negative Marking: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks (1/4th) for every wrong answer.
• Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates based on written test merit will be called for verification of original documents (10th pass certificate, domicile, qualification diplomas, category certificates).
