Candidates must fulfill any one of the following academic qualification options with at least 55% aggregate marks:

  • Graduate Degree (55% marks) with PGDCA / PDCA / PGDIT / APGDCA.
  • OR BCA / B.Sc (Computer Science / IT) / MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science / IT) / B.Tech / M.Tech (in any stream) with 55% marks.
  • OR 3-Year Diploma in Computer Application / IT from State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) or University with 55% marks.
  • OR ‘A’ / ‘B’ / ‘C’ Level course certification from DOEACC / NIELIT with 55% marks.

Distance Education Note: Candidates with MCA / M.Tech degrees through Distance Education or Part-Time mode must ensure the degree/course is approved by AICTE.

  • Consolidated Remuneration: ₹24,100/- per month.

In addition to Junior Programmers, HARTRON updates panels on a rolling basis (every alternate month) for the following technical cadres:

The selection process for empanelment involves a two-test evaluation scheme:

  1. 1st Test (Domain Knowledge Test): Computer-based objective test (MCQs) covering computer topics and specific domain questions. Clearing this test is valid for 1 year.
  2. Mandatory 1-Month Training: Candidates qualifying the 1st test and document scrutiny must undergo a 1-month practical training (approx. 50 hours) at IDDC Ambala or HMSDC Gurugram after submitting a refundable security deposit of ₹1,500/-. Minimum 75% attendance is compulsory.
  3. 2nd Test (Practical / Project Test): Practical test conducted upon completion of training. Equal weightage (50:50) is given to the 1st Test and 2nd Test to prepare the final district-wise merit list.
  4. Panel Validity: The empanelled list remains valid for 2 years from the date of result declaration, extendable up to 5 years if required.
