Who Should Apply for the Territorial Army Officer?
- The minimum education qualification for grant of TA commission is a degree from a recognised university, and the candidate should be gainfully employed.
- Serving members of the Regular Army/ Navy/ Air Force/ Police/ GREF/ Para Military and like forces are not eligible.

Territorial Army Officer Exam Pattern
- The computer-based test has 100 MCQs of 100 marks.
- The exam duration is 2 hours.
- The written exam has 3 parts.
- Part A has 40 MCQs of 40 marks of Reasoning, Part B has 30 MCQs of 30 marks of General Knowledge, and Part C has 30 MCQs of 30 marks in English.
- For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-third (0.33%) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. Questions marked for review will be treated as unanswered.
Territorial Army Officer Physical Standard Test
- The minimum height required for male candidates for entry into the Armed Forces is 157 cm or as decided by the respective recruiting agency. Gorkhas and candidates belonging to the hills of the North Eastern region of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, will be accepted with a minimum height of 152 cm.
- The minimum height required for female candidates for entry into the Armed Forces is 152 cm. Gorkhas and candidates belonging to the hills of the North Eastern region of India, Garhwal, and Kumaon will be accepted with a minimum height of 148 cm.
- Body Mass Index should be below 25.
- Waist Circumference should be less than 90 cm for males and 80cm for females.
- All biochemical metabolic parameters should be within normal limits.
