Applicants must completely acquire the specialty postgraduate degrees before the crucial evaluation dates:

  • Medical / Surgical Specialty Streams: Must possess an NMC/MCI-recognized postgraduate medical degree (MD / MS / DNB) in the concerned specialty from an approved institution.
  • Dental Specialty Post (Prosthodontics): Must possess a DCI-recognized postgraduate dental degree (MDS) in Prosthodontics & Crown and Bridge.
  • Neonatology: Candidates with DM in the concerned discipline from a recognized University/Institute/or equivalent qualification thereto, may also be eligible to apply.
  • CTVS: M.S. /DNB in General Surgery and M.Ch./DNB in CTVS are eligible to apply for the post. Candidates who completed M.Ch vascular surgery or DNB vascular surgery are also eligible to apply.
  • Pulmonary Medicine: Candidates with D.M in Pulmonary Medicine from a recognized University / Institute may also apply.
  • Registration Certificate: Mandatory valid permanent Medical/Dental Council registration certificate for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) additional degrees.
  • Senior Residency Limitations: Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency under any government residency scheme are completely ineligible to apply.
  • Degree Cutoff Deadline: All qualification components, passing criteria, and internship log completions must be successfully met on or before 31 August 2026.

⚠️ Tenure & Engagement Terms: The appointee shall be on the whole-time appointment for a period of 12 months at a time, continued up to 3 Years based on the recommendation of HOD. Private practice of any type is strictly prohibited.

  1. Stage-I Written Screening Examination: A 1-hour offline objective test conducted at the JIPMER Academic Centre to evaluate specialty medical insights.
  2. Original Certificate Verification: Shortlisted profiles matching the score cutoffs must produce original PG degree tokens and age proofs for the validation check.
  3. Stage-II Personal Interview: A face-to-face interaction evaluating clinical mannerisms, publications, presentations, and field records.
  4. Medical Fitness Board Check: Selected candidates will undergo a general physical evaluation by the JIPMER medical board before allocation of joining orders.
  • Exam Mode / Medium: Pen-paper offline test set strictly in English medium only.

  • Total Allocation Marks: The written test evaluation is conducted for a maximum of 80 marks.
