GSSSB Horticulture Assistant Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must possess the required qualification on or before 17 August 2026:
- Diploma in Horticulture: Must possess a Diploma in Horticulture obtained from a Polytechnic of any Agriculture or Horticulture University established under Central or State Agriculture/Horticulture Universities Act in India.
- Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification & Recruitment Rules.
- Language Requirement: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
GSSSB Horticulture Assistant Pay Scale and Salary Structure
- First 5 Years (Fixed Pay): ₹26,000/- per month.
- Regular Pay Scale (Post 5 Years): Upon satisfactory completion of 5 years of service, candidates will be placed in the regular 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100/-).
GSSSB Horticulture Assistant Selection Process & Exam Scheme
Selection will be carried out through a single-stage competitive written examination (MCQ-based CBRT/OMR mode) carrying a total of 210 Marks for 180 Minutes (3 Hours).
Examination Structure
The exam consists of two parts conducted in a single paper:
