Who Should Apply for the Coal India Management Trainee?

• Civil: Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks
• Electrical: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 60% marks
• Mechanical: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Machinery, with a minimum of 60% marks
• System: Recognized 1st Class Degree in BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / I.T or any 1st Class Degree with MCA
• E&T: BE/B.tech/B.Sc (Engg) in Electronics & Telecommunication; Electronics & Communication; Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering; Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
• Geology: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Geology or Applied Geology or Geophysics or Applied Geophysics with minimum 60% marks
• Industrial Engineering: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management; Industrial Engineering and Production Engineering; Production and Industrial Engineering; Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, with a minimum of 60% marks

Coal India Management Trainee Exam Pattern

• The CBT has 2 Papers in one sitting of 100 marks each.
• Paper-I will consist of General Knowledge/Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and General English, and
• Paper-II will consist of Professional Knowledge (Discipline-related) with 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in each paper.
• Each question will carry 1 mark, and there is no penalty for a wrong answer.
• The total exam duration is 3 hours (180 minutes).
