Candidates must possess the requisite qualifications on or before the closing date (07 September 2026):
- Option A:
- B.Sc. Nursing (4-year course) from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Medical Faculty-recognized Institute/University.
- OR B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) (2-year course) from an INC-recognized Institute/University.
- Registered as Nurse & Midwife in State / Indian Nursing Council.
- Option B:
- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M.) from an INC-recognized Institute / Board / Council.
- Registered as a Nurse & Midwife in the State / Indian Nursing Council.
- Minimum 02 years’ experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds after acquiring the GNM qualification.
GIMS Greater Noida Staff Nurse Pay Scale and Salary Structure
Selected candidates for the post of Staff Nurse will receive salary as per 7th CPC standards equivalent to SGPGI Lucknow / UP State Autonomous Medical Institutes:
- Pay Matrix Level: Pay Level-7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400/- per month)
- Basic Pay: ₹44,900/- per month
- Grade Pay: 4600
- Allowances: Standard Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Nursing Allowance, and other allowances admissible under UP Government rules.
GIMS Greater Noida Staff Nurse Selection Process & Exam Scheme
The selection will be based strictly on merit obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by verification stages:
1. Scheme of Examination (CBT)
- Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Question Format: 100 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 100 Marks (1 mark per question)
- Medium: Bilingual (Hindi & English; English treated as final in case of dispute)

- Section A (60 Questions): Mental Health Nursing, Fundamentals of Nursing, Nursing Foundations I & II, First Aid/ACLS/BCLS, Applied Microbiology & Infection Control, Child Health Nursing, Nursing Management & Leadership, Applied Sociology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, Pathology.
- Section B (25 Questions): Applied Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition & Dietetics, Applied Psychology, Forensic Nursing, Standard Treatment Protocols in National Health Programmes, Research & Statistics, Geriatric Nursing.
- Section C (15 Questions): Basic Sciences, Communicative English, Community Health Nursing, Environmental Hygiene, Professional Ethics/Bioethics, Health Informatics & Technology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
