HPRCA Clerk Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following qualifications on or before the closing date (11 September 2026):
- Essential Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Typing Speed on Computer: Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute (wpm) in English OR 25 words per minute (wpm) in Hindi on Computer.
- State Schooling Requirement: Candidate must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from any school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh (Condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis).
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
HPRCA Clerk Pay Scale and Salary Structure
Selected candidates will be engaged as Job Trainees under the Job Trainee Policy issued by the Department of Personnel, Government of Himachal Pradesh:
- Monthly Honorarium: ₹12,500/- per month (Consolidated fixed amount)
- Service Terms: Governed by the Job Trainee Scheme-2025 and relevant Department of Personnel notifications.
HPRCA Clerk Selection Process Details
The selection process consists of two successive stages:
- Written Screening Test (CBT / OMR):
- Total Marks: 120 Marks
- Total Questions: 120 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (1 mark each)
- Duration: 1½ Hours (90 Minutes)
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: At least 45% marks for General Category and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/WFF candidates.
- Syllabus: Concerned subjects up to Degree level, GK of Himachal Pradesh & Current Affairs, Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi (Matric Standard), and Word Processing on computer.
- Typing Skill Test:
- Qualifying in nature for shortlisted candidates (minimum 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi on computer).
- Shortlisting Ratio: Candidates equal to 4 times the number of vacancies (160 candidates) will be shortlisted for the typing test based on CBT/written merit.
- Document Verification (DV): Verification of original educational marksheets, Bonafide Himachali certificate, category certificate, and character declarations.
