APSC Veterinary Officer Educational Qualification Criteria
Candidates must fulfill all prescribed qualifications on or before 06 September 2026:
- Academic Qualification: Must possess at least a Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc & A.H.) from any recognized University / Institution.
- Domicile / Residency Proof: The candidate must be a Permanent Resident of Assam. Proof of domicile requires uploading either a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes OR a valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate of Assam.
- Small Family Norms: Candidates must submit a declaration in Form-A regarding small family norms at the time of application.
APSC Veterinary Officer Pay Scale and Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive salary under Pay Band-4 as per the Assam State Government rules:
- Pay Band: Pay Band-4 (₹30,000 – ₹1,10,000/- per month)
- Grade Pay: ₹12,700/- per month
- Allowances: Admissible usual state government allowances per month.
APSC Veterinary Officer Selection Process Details
- Shortlisting / Screening: The Commission will decide the provision for selection considering the number of applications received. Selection may comprise a Written/Screening Exam followed by a Viva-Voce / Personal Interview.
- Examination Zones: Exams will be conducted zone-wise across six zones (Silchar, Jorhat, Nagaon, Tezpur, Kokrajhar, and Guwahati).
- Document Verification: Verification of original HSLC admit card (age proof), B.V.Sc degree marksheets/certificates, PRC/Employment Exchange registration, caste certificates, and Form-A declaration during final interview.
