Who Should Apply for the UPSC NDA/ NA-II?

1. For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:—12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Note: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

UPSC NDA/ NA-II Salary Details

• • Stipend during Training: 56,100/- p.m while at IMA
  • Rank after Training: Lieutenant
  • Pay Scale: Rs. 56,100-1,77,500
  • Pay Level: Level 10 in the Pay matrix, Excluding Free Medical cover & Travel to Home town once a year
  • Military Service Pay (MSP): Rs. 15,500/- p.m

UPSC NDA/ NA-II Exam Pattern

• • There are 2 papers on 2 subjects for the written exam.
  • The first paper is on the Mathematics subject. This paper has 300 maximum marks with an exam duration of 2½ Hours.
  • The second paper is on the General Ability Test subject. This paper has 600 maximum marks with an exam duration of 2½ Hours.
  • There will be an SSB Test/Interview conducted for 900 marks.
