UP Police SI Confidential, ASI Clerk & Accounts Eligibility Criteria

For Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential)

A graduate degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government,
Hindi typing speed of at least 25 words per minute (in Unicode on an Inscript keyboard) and English typing speed of at least 30 words per minute,
Hindi shorthand dictation at a minimum speed of 80 words per minute. (Candidates will be declared successful based on the accuracy determined by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.)
Passing the “O” Level examination in Computer from the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT Society) (formerly DOEACC Society) of the Government of India, or possessing any equivalent qualification recognized by the government, is mandatory.

For Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerical)

A graduate degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government,
Hindi typing speed of at least 25 words per minute (in Unicode on an Inscript keyboard) and English typing speed of at least 30 words per minute,
Passing the “O” Level examination in Computer from the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT Society) (formerly DOEACC Society) of the Government of India, or possessing any equivalent qualification recognized by the government, is required.

For Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts)

A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a university established by law in India, or a Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
Hindi typing speed of at least 15 words per minute (in Unicode on an Inscript keyboard).
Passing the “O” Level examination in Computer Science from the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT Society) (formerly DOEACC Society) of the Government of India or possessing any equivalent qualification recognized by the government is mandatory.

How to Apply for UP Police SI Confidential, ASI Clerk & Accounts 2025

Candidates need to visit the official website of the UPPRPB or the link given in the link section.
In the process of online application, the candidates will first register themselves on OTR. After that, the candidates will again visit the board’s website and submit their application form by filling it out with complete details. After filling out the application form completely, the fee will be paid online.
The online application process will be in two phases. First, every candidate is required to register themselves in OTR (One Time Registration). Only after that, the candidate will be able to fill out the application form for various recruitments available online, organised by UPPRPB (Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board).
In order to ensure the purity of the examination process, in the public interest, Aadhaar-based OTP (Authentication) will be used for verification of the identity of the candidate, etc. To avoid any inconvenience during the various stages of the recruitment process, starting from the application stage, all candidates must update their Aadhaar card data and the mobile number registered in it.
