NTA NIFTEE 2026 Online Form- Important Dates, Eligibility, Age Limit, Notification PDF: The NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY (NTA) has released the notification for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) – 2026 for Admissions to UG, PG, NLEA, Artisans and Ph.D. Programmes. The online application period began on December 8, 2025. Candidates can fill out the NTA NIFTEE 2026 online forms until January 6, 2026. Candidates must read the official notification before applying.

NTA NIFTEE 2026 Application Fee

  • Open / Open-EWS/OBC(NCL)* (for either B.Des. or B.F. Tech. or MFM or M. Des. or M.F.Tech. or Ph.D.): ₹ 2000/-
  • SC / ST / PwD (for either B. Des. or B.F. Tech. or MFM or M. Des. or M.F.Tech. Ph.D.): ₹ 500/-
  • Open/Open-EWS/OBC (NCL) applying for two programmes, i.e. B.F.Tech. and B.Des. or M.F.M. and M.Des.: ₹ 3000/-
  • SC / ST / PwD applying for two programmes, i.e. B.F. Tech. and B. Des. or MFM and M. Des.: ₹ 750/-
  • NRI/Foreign National/OCI/PIO/SAARC (for UG / PG Programmes): ₹ 11100/-

NTA NIFTEE 2026 Age Limit

  1. For Bachelor’s Programmes (B. Des and B.F. Tech.), the maximum age should be less than 24 years as on 1 st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PwD) categories.
  2. For Master’s Programmes (M. Des, M.F.M., and M.F. Tech) and Ph.D. there is no age limit.

NTA NIFTEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Programme Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor of Design (B. Des.)
  • Passed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board, New Delhi/Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. OR
  • A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. OR
  • 3 or 4-year diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after secondary examination/10th standard. OR
  • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system. OR
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/International Baccalaureate (IB).
Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.)
  • Passed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi,/Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi, with Mathematics. OR
  • A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects, including Mathematics. OR
  • 3 or 4 years diploma in any branch of Engineering recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after secondary examination/10th standard. OR
  • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system with Mathematics. OR
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level with Mathematics/International Baccalaureate (IB).
Master of Design (M. Des.)
  • Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/University recognised by law in India. OR
  • Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/NID.
Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.)
  • Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/University recognised by law in India. OR
  • Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/NID.
Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)
  • B.F.Tech. from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). OR
  • B.E./B.Tech. from any Institute/University recognised by law in India. OR
  • B.F.Tech. (4 years) from any Institute/University recognised by law in India.
Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) For ARTISAN
  • Passed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board, New Delhi / Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. OR
  • A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. OR
  • 3 or 4-year Diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after secondary school examination. OR
  • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system. AND
  • Artisan/Ward of Artisan can seek admission under this category on submission of a valid Artisan Card issued to Self/ Father/ Mother by the Development Commissioner (Handicraft), or Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India or have applied for the Artisan Card before the launch of Prospectus for Admissions-2026.

NTA NIFTEE 2026 Selection Process

  • The Examinations for GAT (General Ability Test) will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • The Examinations for CAT (Creative Ability Test) will be conducted in Pen & Paper-Based Test (PBT) mode

How to Apply for NTA NIFTEE 2026 Exam

  1. Candidates need to visit the official website or the link given in the link section.
  2. Register for Online Form submission using your Email ID and Mobile Number, and note down the system-generated Application Number.
  3. Complete the Online Application Form by filling in all required details such as name, Date of Birth, father’s Name, and other details.
  4. Upload scanned Documents, i.e., image, signature, Category certificate, and other required.
  5. Pay the required fee through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI, and keep proof of fee paid for future reference.
  6. After the submission of the Online Application Form (i.e., successful completion of Step 3), the Confirmation Page of the Application Form should be downloaded, and a printout of the same may be retained for future reference. The Confirmation Page of the online application form can be generated only after the candidate has made a successful payment.
