Bank of Baroda Local Bank Officer (LBO) Application 2026: Bank of Baroda (BOB) has published an official recruitment advertisement (Advt. No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/16) for the regular appointment of Local Bank Officers (LBO) in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMG/S-I).

  • Mandatory Educational Qualification: Graduation Degree in any discipline from a University/Institution recognized by the Government of India / AICTE.
  • Mandatory Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India. (Clerical experience will not be counted).
  • Language Proficiency: Candidates must possess proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the local language of the applied state.
  • LPT Exemption: Candidates producing 10th or 12th standard mark sheets/certificates evidencing having studied the specified local language are exempted from the Local Language Proficiency Test.
  • Preferred Certifications: IC-38 (Insurance Institute of India), NISM Series V-A (Mutual Funds), NISM Series XXI-A (PMS), or NISM Series XIII (Derivatives).
  • Grade / Scale: Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMG/S-I)
  • Pay Scale Matrix: ₹48,480 – 2000/7 – 62,480 – 2340/2 – 67,160 – 2680/7 – ₹85,920/- per month
  • Advance Increment: One advance increment will be granted for experience of 1 year or more as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.
  • Allowances & Perks: DA, HRA, CCA, bank-specific allowances, and perquisites as per industry-level bipartite settlement.
  • Probation Period: 12 months (1 Year) of active service.
  • Service Bond: Mandatory service bond to serve for a minimum of 3 years or pay an amount equivalent to 3 months’ gross salary (subject to a maximum of ₹2,00,000/-).
  • Posting Terms: Selected candidates will be posted within the applied state for the first 12 years of service or up to promotion to SMGS-IV.

Selection is based on an Online Examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) and Group Discussion (GD) / Personal Interview (PI):

  • English Qualifying Nature: English Language test is qualifying in nature; marks will not be added to the final merit list.
  • Negative Marking: 1/4th (0.25 marks) deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Mandatory for shortlisted candidates who did not study the state’s local language in 10th or 12th standard. It is qualifying in nature.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in GD/PI are 60% for General and 55% for Reserved categories.
  • Final merit list will be prepared based on combined scores of Online Exam, GD, and Interview.

  6. Upload Left Thumb Impression (20 KB – 50 KB) and Handwritten Declaration in English (50 KB – 100 KB).
