Who Should Apply for the UPESSC Assistant Professor?
(i) A Master’s degree in Science / Mathematics / Social Sciences / Humanities with a minimum of 55% marks AND
An M.Ed. degree with a minimum of 55% marks OR
A Master’s degree in Science / Mathematics / Social Sciences / Humanities with a minimum of 55% marks AND
A Master’s degree in Education with a minimum of 55% marks, and a B.Ed. A degree or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
(ii) Passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC in the subject of Education; OR
Candidates holding a Ph.D. or D.Phil. degree in the subject of Education who have obtained their Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009.

A written exam has 100 MCQs of General Knowledge & Related Subject.
It has 30 MCQs on General Knowledge and 70 MCQs on Related Subjects.
Each question has a 2-mark weightage.

The qualified candidates’ list for the interview is prepared based on a total of 200 marks.
An interview for 30 marks will be conducted.
