Who Should Apply for Arunachal Pradesh TGT?
- The candidate should be a graduate with a minimum Second-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce from a recognised university and must have studied the concerned subject in all years and semesters of the Bachelor’s Degree programme. The final year/final semester marksheet of the Bachelor’s Degree must contain the name and marks of the concerned subject.
- A graduate in any other subject with a post-graduation in the concerned subject shall not be considered eligible for the particular post.
- A candidate should possess a B.Ed (General) degree issued by an NCTE-recognised institute. Only General B.Ed is acceptable for teaching Classes IX-X as per the letter vide no. DSE-11027/1/2021 -DSE-ED dated 09/12/2025.
- B.Ed (Special Education) is not recognised as an alternative professional qualification for TGT(Secondary) as per the letter vide no. DSE-11027/1/2021 -DSE-ED dated 09/12/2025.
- The minimum duration of the B.Ed programme is two years, including a mandatory internship in schools. However, for candidates who were awarded the degree before 2015, the course duration of one year will also be eligible.
- Candidates who have completed a Four-Year Integrated Degree Programme with B.Ed (General) included are also eligible, subject to the fulfilment of subject-specific requirements as mentioned in B(1).
- Students in their final year/final semester of a Bachelor’s Degree/B.Ed is not eligible to apply for the examination.
