The examination fee for the main examination must be paid separately only by the candidates shortlisted for the main examination. Candidates shortlisted for the main examination will have to pay the prescribed examination fee before downloading their admit card for the main examination.
The candidates are required to deposit the requisite examination fees online through internet banking, debit, or credit card.

UP Lekhpal Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification (Educational): As per Part-4, Rule-8 of the Uttar Pradesh Lekhpal Service Rules, 2006, as amended (First Amendment – 2010, Second Amendment – 2014, Third Amendment – 2015, Fourth Amendment – 2022), for direct recruitment to the post of Lekhpal in the service, the candidate must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Government.

Preferential qualifications: As per Part-4, Rule-09 of the Uttar Pradesh Lekhpal Service Rules, 2006, as amended (First Amendment – 2010, Second Amendment – 2014, Third Amendment – 2015, Fourth Amendment – 2022), in case of direct recruitment, other things being equal, preference will be given to a candidate who has:
(i) served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
(ii) obtained a ‘B’ certificate of the National Cadet Corps.

How to Apply for UP Lekhpal 2025

Candidates need to visit the official website of the UPPSC or the link given in the link section.
The candidate will have to log in using the OTP sent to their registered mobile number/email address against their Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 registration number.
After logging in, this section will automatically display the candidate’s personal information entered during the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025, such as name, father’s/husband’s name, mother’s name, details regarding residency in Uttar Pradesh, category, EWS status, details related to horizontal reservation, date of birth, gender, marital status, contact mobile number, email, etc.
In this section, the candidate must fill in the details related to the essential qualifications (educational) as published in the advertisement. After selecting the Yes/No option regarding possessing the educational qualification, the candidate must enter the name of the board/institution/university, the year of passing the examination, certificate number/roll number, date of issuance of the qualification certificate, and details of marks obtained.
After filling in the above information, the candidate must enter the verification code displayed in the “Enter Verification Code” field at the bottom of the registration page and then click the “Submit” button. After clicking the submit button, the “Candidate’s Application Form” will be displayed, which will contain the 11-digit registration number along with other details. The candidate should print a copy of this and keep it safe, as it may need to be presented later.
In this section, the photograph and signature uploaded by the candidate during the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 will be displayed automatically. The candidate will not be able to make any modifications or changes to them. After viewing the photograph and signature, the candidate will proceed to the next page by clicking the “Continue” button.
In this section, the candidate will have to select the Yes/No option regarding the preferential qualification (if any). The permanent and correspondence addresses entered by the candidate during the Preliminary Eligibility Examination-2025 will also be automatically displayed in this section.
The format of the declaration to be made by the candidate will be displayed at the bottom of the web page. The candidate is expected to carefully read the contents of the declaration form and, if they agree with the declaration, select all the points (by ticking the checkboxes), enter the verification code provided below, and click the “Save and Submit” button to complete the fee payment process.
