RLBCAU Teaching and Non-Teaching Eligibility Criteria
Registrar
- i. Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade.
- ii. At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000 and above or with 08 years of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000 and above, including as an Associate Professor, along with experience in educational administration. OR
- Comparable experience in a research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education. OR
- 15 years of administrative experience, of which 08 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
Dean, College of Veterinary & Animal Science
Essential:
- Recognized veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedule in the Indian Veterinary Council Act: 1984, and must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
- B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
- Master’s degrees in the relevant discipline of Veterinary Science with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
- Doctorate in any branch of Animal and Veterinary Science, including relevant basic sciences.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching/ research in the subject, out of which at least 5 years should be in the rank of Professor or equivalent.
- Outstanding contributions in research as evidenced by published papers in National/ International journals of repute, books on the development of technology.
Desirable:
- Administrative experience in a responsible position in an Agricultural University/College.
- Familiarity with the latest advances in Agricultural developments.
Assistant Registrar
Essential: Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade along with a good academic record.
Desirable: “Holding analogous post regularly or with 5 years regular service in a lower grade position in level 7/ level 8 in Administration and Establishment in the Central/ State Government, Universities, and other autonomous organizations. Working Knowledge of different computer software and its application”.
Associate Professor
(a) for disciplines other than Veterinary Sciences:
Essential:
- Doctoral degrees in relevant subject including relevant basic Sciences.
- 8 years of experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the PB-3 of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/ Rs. 6,000/ Rs. 7,000/ Rs. 8,000.
- The candidate should have made contributions to Research/ Teaching/Extension Education as evidenced by published work with a minimum of publications as research/policy papers and/or books /innovations and impact/innovations and impact.
Desirable:
- Adequate experience in teaching and guiding Post- Graduate students.
- Familiarity with modern tools and applications in scientific technologies in the field.
(b) For Veterinary Sciences disciplines:
- Recognized veterinary qualification included in first and second schedules inthe Indian Veterinary Council Act: 1984, and must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
- B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
- Master’s degrees in the relevant discipline of Vet. Science with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
- Other qualifications are similar to disciplines other than veterinary sciences, as at (a) i, ii, and iii.
Desirable:
- Adequate experience in teaching and guiding Post-Graduate students.
- Familiarity with modern tools and applications in scientific technologies in the field.
Assistant Professor
(a) For disciplines other than Veterinary Sciences:
- Master’s degree in the relevant disciplines and with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point.
- Evidence of the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ICAR-ASRB, UGC-CSIR. OR
- Doctorate in the relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences, with 2 published research papers in a scientific journal with an NAAS rating of more than 4.0.
Desirable:
- Experience in research in reputed ICAR Institutes/Agricultural Universities/government institutions with evidence of published research papers.
- Knowledge of Computer applications.
(b) For Veterinary Sciences’ disciplines:
- A recognized veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedules in the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
- B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
- Master’s degrees in the relevant discipline of Veterinary Science with at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. Evidence of the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ICAR-ASRB, UGC-CSIR. OR Doctorate in the relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences, with 2 published research papers in a scientific general with NAAS rating of more than 4.0.
Desirable:

- To register, the candidate will enter details such as name, email address, category, and mobile number.
- Registered Candidate Log in using their Registration Number and Date of Birth, and fill in all required personal details.
- The candidate fills in their Educational qualifications, Address, and other details that have been asked for.
- Upload photo, signature, and other details in JPG OR PDF Format.
- Make an online payment.
- Make sure the fee submission is made, and make the final submission.
- Applicants must apply online through the University Website www.rlbcau.ac.in. The candidates are also required to submit the printout of a hard copy, duly signed on all the pages/enclosures already uploaded with the online application form, within the stipulated time as per the last date of advertisement to Registrar, Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Gwalior Road, Jhansi-284003, through the Indian postal service. The envelope of the physical form must contain the Subject “Application for the post ……………….” and Post Code………” failing which the application form will be rejected. Applications received in any other manner will be rejected. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit.
