NTA UGC NET December 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- General/ Unreserved/ General-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from recognized universities/ institutions are eligible for this Test. (For OBC NCL/ SC/ ST/PH, 50% marks)
- The candidates having passed a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade for SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
- Candidates who are in their final year can apply.

How to Apply for NTA UGC NET December 2025 Exam
- Candidates need to visit the official website or the link given in the link section.
- Register for Online Form submission using your Email ID and Mobile Number, and note down the system-generated Application Number.
- Complete the Online Application Form by filling in all required details such as name, Date of Birth, father’s Name, and other details.
- Upload scanned Documents, i.e., image, signature, Category certificate, and other required.
- Pay the required fee through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI and keep proof of fee paid for future reference.
- After the submission of the Online Application Form (i.e., successful completion of Step 3), the Confirmation Page of the Application Form should be downloaded, and a printout of the same may be retained for future reference. The Confirmation Page of the online application form can be generated only after the candidate has made a successful payment.
