Maharashtra Civil Services Combined Pre-Exam Eligibility Criteria

1. State Service
  1. Degree from a recognized university or a prescribed qualification recognized as equivalent to a degree by the Government of Maharashtra for other categories except the categories mentioned below.
  2. The educational qualification for the following specific categories will be as indicated before them:-
Cadre Qualification
Assistant Director, Maharashtra Finance and Accounts Service, Group-A
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a statutory university with at least 55% marks, or
  2. Passed the final examination of a Chartered Accountant conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or
  3. Passed the final examination in Cost Accounting undertaken by the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants, or
  4. Master’s degree in Commerce from a statutory university, or
  5. Master’s Degree (M.V.A.) with specialisation in Finance and Business Administration from an institution recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education.
Industry Officer, Technical, Group-B
  1. Degree in Engineering (other than Civil Engineering and subjects related to the groups of subjects in Civil Engineering, such as Architecture, Urban Planning, etc.) or Degree in Technology from a statutory university or
  2. Degree from a statutory university in a science discipline.
2. Maharashtra Veterinary Services Examination:-

For Veterinary Officer, Group-A Cadre:-

  1. Bachelor of Science degree from a statutory university in the field of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.
  2. Must be registered under the Maharashtra Veterinary Professionals Act, 1971 (under Maharashtra Act No. 44 of 1971) or the Veterinary Professionals Act in force at that time.

3 Knowledge of the Marathi language is required.

4 Candidates appearing for the final year of graduation examination will be eligible for admission to the preliminary examination. However, if they are qualified for admission to the main examination, it will be mandatory to pass the graduation examination by the last date of submission of the necessary information and examination fee in the prescribed manner for admission to the main examination.

5 The degree holder who requires internship or practical work experience in a workshop should have fulfilled the condition regarding educational qualification by the prescribed date of receipt of information/application for the main examination.
