NTA JEE Mains 2026 Online Form- Important Dates, Eligibility, Age Limit, Notification PDF: The NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY (NTA) has released the notification for the Joint Entrance Examination
(Main)-2026 in two sessions, Session I in January 2026 and Session II in April 2026.. The online application started on 31 October 2025. Candidates can fill out the NTA JEE Mains 2026 online forms till 27 November 2025. Candidates must read the official notification before applying.

NTA JEE Mains 2026 Age Limit

For appearing in the JEE (Main) – 2026, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class XII / equivalent Examination in 2024, 2025, or are appearing in 2026, irrespective of their age, can appear in the JEE (Main) – 2026 Examination. However, the candidates may be required to fulfill the age criteria of the Institute(s) to which they are desirous of taking admission.

NTA JEE Mains 2026 Eligibility Criteria

  1. The final Examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. 
  2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. 
  3. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. 
  4. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
  5. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  6. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination. 
  7. A diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration. 
  8. General Certificate of Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. 
  9. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. 
  10. Candidates who have completed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII Examination.
  11. In case the Class XII Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier. xii. Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE), Sikkim.

How to Apply for NTA JEE Mains 2026 Exam

  1. Candidates need to visit the official website or the link given in the link section.
  2. Register for Online Form submission using your Email ID and Mobile Number, and note down the system-generated Application Number.
  3. Complete the Online Application Form by filling in all required details such as name, Date of Birth, father’s Name, and other details.
  4. Upload scanned Documents, i.e., image, signature, Category certificate, and other required.
  5. Pay the required fee through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI, and keep proof of fee paid for future reference.
  6. After the submission of the Online Application Form (i.e., successful completion of Step 3), the Confirmation Page of the Application Form should be downloaded, and a printout of the same may be retained for future reference. The Confirmation Page of the online application form can be generated only after the candidate has made a successful payment.
