HPPSC Medical Officer (MO) Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification(s)

• M.B.B.S.
• (i) Recognised Medical Qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• (ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship.

Desirable Qualification

1. Post Graduate Degree or Diploma included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the third schedule should fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. A postgraduate qualification from a recognised institution, as mentioned in Appendix A.
3. Knowledge of customs, manners & dialects of Himachal Pradesh & suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

How to Apply for HPPSC Medical Officer (MO) 2025

1. Candidates need to visit the official website of HPPSC or the link given in the link section.
2. The desirable and eligible candidate may visit the official website of the Commission (http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc) and click on the link “Apply Online” on the Home Page. On the opened page, the candidate will click on the link “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations” and on the opened page will register and create his/her profile by clicking on “New Registration” if not registered already. After registration or if already registered, the candidate will have to log in to his / her account on the OTR page. Once logged in, the list of live advertisements will be displayed to the candidate on the dashboard. The candidate will apply for a particular post through this portal only. The application of the candidate will be submitted only after uploading of requisite documents as per the advertisement. Before submission of the application, the candidate will have to give an undertaking/ declaration that:- “It is certified that I have checked the preview of all the requisite uploaded documents and I am satisfied that the documents are legible, readable and true. That I shall not object to rejection of my candidature based on the sole reasons of uploaded documents being non-readable/ poor quality of scanning.” 
3. Once submitted, the candidate can not make any corrections/modifications to the application and should therefore check all fields carefully before submission.
4. Online Recruitment Application (ORA) once submitted shall not be allowed any change except change of category as per procedure laid down in Rule 5(iv) of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (Procedure and Transaction of Business) Rules, 2023″ (As amended from time to time). Provided that if the status of any candidate changes during the recruitment process and he/she fails to submit a relevant category certificate at the time of provisional rejection, he/she will be considered as an unreserved candidate, subject to his/her fulfilling all eligibility conditions required for the unreserved category and not availing any relaxed standard. In such a situation, the candidate shall have to deposit the difference amount of the application fees as applicable for the general category.
5. Application without a scanned latest photograph or signature shall be rejected straightaway.
