Haryana HTET Eligibility Criteria

A. Level-I-For becoming a Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Teacher (PRT)

i) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007, notified on 31 August 2009. OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed OR appearing in the final year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed OR appearing in the final year of 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.

B. Level-2-For becoming a Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

i) Bachelor’s degree froma recognized university with at least 50% marks in the related subject as an elective or Honours subject and as a related subject teaching subject in BTC/JBT/D.Ed. (Diploma in Education)/Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.); OR
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks in a related subject as an elective or Honours subject and related subject as a teaching subject in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)/B.Ed.(Special Education) in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard; OR
Four years Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed.) with atleast 50% marks in the related subject; OR
Four years integrated BA.B.Ed. with at least 50% marks in the related subject;
ii) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matric or Hindi as one of the subjects in Higher Education.

C. Level -3: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

Post Graduate Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognised university and B.Ed. from a recognised university; AND
Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects; AND
Consistent good academic record.

How to Apply for the Haryana HTET 2025

Candidates need to visit the official website of https://htet.eapplynow.com/ or the link given in the link section.
The candidates should fill in all details while filling out the Online Application Form. Due care should be taken by the candidates while filling out the online application form. An incomplete or defective application form shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances.
Candidates are advised to fill their application forms carefully, such as Name, Father’s/Mother’s name, Date of Birth, Category, Qualification, marks obtained, passing year, photo, Signature, details & fee, etc. The candidate should mention the Category to which he/she belong in the application form. After the final submission of the application form, no change will be allowed, and no request for change of any particular/s item in the online application form shall be entertained by the department/UHS Rohtak after submission of the application form.
The candidate will be responsible for any mistakes in the application form and fees paid by him/her. In case the candidate feels that he/she has filled out the form erroneously, he/she should fill out a fresh online application form along with a fresh requisite fee before the Closing Date.
The applicants are advised to submit only a single application. However, if due to any unavoidable situation, if he/she submits another/multiple applications, then he/she must ensure that the application with the Highest Application Number is complete in all respects, like the applicant’s details, examination centre, photograph, signature, fee, etc. The applicants who submit multiple applications should note that only the application with the Highest/Latest Application Number shall be entertained, and also that the fee paid against one Application Number shall not be adjusted against any other Application Number. In such a situation, he must declare the same in his new application form.
After making payment, the candidate must take a printout of his/her application form and upload the same after duly checking & signing it.
