ECGC Probationary Officer (PO) Eligibility Criteria

A. For Probationary Officers (Generalists)

Bachelor’s Degree/ Graduate in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

B. For Probationary Officers (Specialists) (Discipline: Rajbhasha/Hindi)

1. Master’s degree in Hindi /Hindi Translation, with English as core/Elective/Major subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level with minimum 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University; OR
2. Master’s degree in English with Hindi as core/elective/major subject at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. OR
3. Master’s degree in any discipline with English and Hindi as core/elective/major subjects at the bachelor’s degree level with a minimum of 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. OR
4. Master’s degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi translation with a minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University.

ECGC Probationary Officer (PO) Salary Details

pay scale of ₹ 88,635-4385(14)- 150025-4750(4)-169025. The appointed officers shall also be eligible for applicable allowances and benefits viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance / House Lease Reimbursement, Transport Allowance, Medical Allowance, Newspaper Allowance, Meal coupons, Reimbursement of Mobile Bills, Mobile Handset and Briefcase Allowance, Furniture Allowance, Household help Allowance etc. The current CTC (Cost to Company) of Executive Officer (Probationary officer) posted in Mumbai is approximately ₹20,00,000/- (in words Rupees Twenty Lakh only) per annum.

How to Apply for ECGC Probationary Officer (PO) 2025

1. Candidates need to visit the official website of ECGC or the link given in the link section.
2. To get registered, the candidate will enter details such as name, e-mail, category, and mobile number.
3. Registered Candidate Log in using their Registration Number and Date of Birth, and fill in all required personal details.
4. The candidate fills in their Educational qualifications, Address, and other details of the candidate have been asked for.
5. Upload photo, signature, and other details in JPG OR PDF Format.
6. Make an online payment.
7. Make sure the fee submission is made, and make the final submission.

Pre-Requisites for Applying Online

Before applying online, candidates should—
(i) scan their:

• photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
• signature 
• left thumb impression (If a candidate does not have a left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand, starting from the forefinger, should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand, starting from the forefinger, should be taken. If no fingers are available, the impression of the left toe may be taken. In all such cases where the left thumb impression is not uploaded, the candidate should specify in the uploaded document the name of the finger and the specification of left/right hand or toe. 
• a handwritten declaration: The handwritten declaration has to be in the candidate’s handwriting and in English only. If it is written by anybody else and uploaded or in any other language, the application will be considered invalid. (In the case of candidates who cannot write, they may get the text of the declaration typed and put their left-hand thumb impression (if not able to sign also) below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications.)

Ensuring that all these scanned documents adhere to the required specifications as given in Annexure I to this Advertisement.
(ii) Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
(iii) The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged.
(iv) The text for the handwritten declaration is as follows –
“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

(v) The above-mentioned handwritten declaration has to be in the candidate’s own handwriting and in English only and should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. If it is written by anybody else or in any other language, the application will be considered invalid.
(vi) Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges.

(vii) have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results. ECGC may send intimation to download call letters for the Examination, etc., through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances should a candidate share/mention their e-mail ID to/any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying online and must maintain that email account.
