DSSSB Assistant Teacher (Primary) Eligibility Criteria

1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulations – 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) from a recognized Board.

OR

Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board.

2. Pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

3. Must have passed Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or English as a subject at the Secondary level.

How to Apply for DSSSB Assistant Teacher (Primary) 2025

1. Candidates need to visit the official website of the DSSSB https://dsssbonline.nic.in or the link given in the link section.
2. The candidates must go through the INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING ONLINE carefully while filling up the Online Application Form for the post concerned.
3. The candidates must submit their application through the Online Mode only. No other mode of application shall be accepted. Applications received through any other mode, i.e., by post/by hand/by mail, etc., will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
4. The opening date for submission of online application is 26/08/2025 (from 12.00 Noon). The closing date for submission of the online application is 24/09/2025 (11:59 PM).
5. Candidates are advised in their interest to submit the online application much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability or failure to log in to the Board’s website on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days. DSSSB will not be responsible for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the stipulated time limit for any reason(s) stated to be beyond their control.
6. Before submission of the online application, candidates must check and ensure that they have filled in the correct details in each field of the online application form. Once the online application form is submitted, no request for change/ correction/ modification (including change of category) will be entertained or allowed under any circumstances. Requests received in this regard in any form, like Post, Fax, Email, by hand, etc., shall not be entertained, and no correspondence will be made in this regard. Candidates will be responsible for any mistakes in the data on the application form and the fee paid by him/her.
