1. Doctorate Degree in any branch of Agricultural Science/Horticulture/Home Science/ Agricultural Engineering/Fisheries/ Veterinary Sciences, including relevant basic sciences.
2. Minimum 15 years’ experience in Teaching/ Research/Extension Education in the concerned discipline, out of which at least 10 years should be in teaching in an Agricultural University system and at least 5 years should be in the rank of Professor, or equivalent.
3. Outstanding contributions as evidenced by published papers in professional/ National/ International journals of repute/ books, or technology developed.

Desirable:

1. Experience in guiding Post-Graduate research work.
2. Administrative experience in a responsible position in an agricultural University/College.
3. Familiarity with the latest advances in Agricultural exposure and developments.

(a) For disciplines other than Veterinary Sciences:

1. Doctoral degree in a relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences.
2. 10 years of experience in the relevant subject, out of which 8 years should be as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in PB-3 of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/Rs. 6,000/ Rs. 7,000/Rs. 8,000/- and 2 years as Associate Professor/ Senior Scientist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-4 of Rs. 37,400-67,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 8700/9000/-(pre-revised).
3. The candidate should have made contributions in Research/Teaching/Extension Education as evidenced by a minimum of 10 publications with a high NAAS Impact Factor.

(b) For Veterinary Sciences disciplines:

1. A recognized veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedules in the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
2. B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
3. Master’s degrees in the relevant discipline of Vety. Science with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
4. Other qualifications are similar to disciplines other than Veterinary Sciences as at (a) i, ii, and iii.

Desirable:

1. Adequate experience in teaching and guiding Post-Graduate students.
2. Familiarity with modern tools and applications in scientific technologies in the field.
3. Contribution to educational innovation through curriculum development or technology-based teaching.

(a) For disciplines other than Veterinary Sciences:

1. Doctoral degree in a relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences.
2. 8 years of experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the PB-3 of Rs. 15,600-39,100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/Rs. 6,000/ Rs. 7,000/Rs. 8,000/- (pre-revised).
3. The candidate should have made contributions in Research/Teaching/Extension Education as evidenced by published work/ innovations and impact.

(b) For Veterinary Sciences disciplines:

1. A recognized veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedules in the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
2. B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.

Evidence of having cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ICAR, ASRB, UGC, and CSIR. (NET shall not be required in disciplines for which NET is not conducted) OR
• Ph.D in a relevant subject with published Research papers in scientific journals.

Desirable:

• Experience of teaching/guiding Under-graduate/Post-Graduate students.
