Arunachal Pradesh Assistant Professor Eligibility Criteria

  • A. Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.
    However, there is a relaxation of 5% marks, i.e. from 55% ta 50% marks at Master’s as well as Bachelor’s Degree level for ST/SC candidates.
  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR. or a similar test accredited by UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standard and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) OR
  • B. The Ph.D. Degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institutions with a ranking among top 500 in the World Universitv Ranking (at any time) by any one of the fiollowing: (a) Quacqarelli Symonds (QS) (b) The Times Higher Education (THE) or (c) T’he Academie Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shangai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai)

How to Apply for Arunachal Pradesh Assistant Professor 2026

  1. Candidates need to visit the official website of APPSC or the link given in the link section.
  2. Before filling the Online Application Form for the post advertised, a candidate must mandatorily register for One Time Registration (OTR)
  3. Those who have already registered in OTR need not register again, and they can directly log in to fill up online form using the same user ID and password.
  4. Applicants in Government Service have to upload a copy of the intimation submitted to their respective Heads of Department or NOC issued by the department.
  5. The applicants are advised to submit only a single application; however, if due to any unavoidable situation, he/she submits another/multiple applications, the application with the highest Registration ID (RID) will be accepted by the Commission. Therefore, the highest RID application should be complete in all respects. The fee paid against one RID shall not be adjusted against any other RID.
  6. The candidates should carefully fill in the requisite details in the online application form. The application form, once submitted within the last date of submission, should be complete in all respects, and no additional time shall be provided to the candidate to further clarify or upload additional information. The candidates are requested to minutely go through the DISCLAIMER provided in the online application form before final submission of the form. Any information found to be wrong at any stage of examination may lead to cancellation of candidature for Assistant Professor Examination-2026 –
